Made from top quality alemán yarn, this beautiful loom woven top has short sleeves and a tassel fringe. This top is incredibly soft to the touch, and the fabric has a delicate shine that complements the colors and simplicity of this lovely piece. The "Hibiscus" top is a single-color top with a horizontal weave design that comes in a variety of rich color shades.

"Hibiscus“ top is made by Mayan weavers in San Juan La Laguna's Tz'utujil village, a small indigenous village on the shores of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, recognized for upholding the lands' arts and crafts traditions. This top's threads are all handwoven on an antique backstrap loom.

We are honored to continue our indigenous Mayan community's craft traditions.

Weaving is a tradition in our family. It's ingrained in our Mayan culture.

This top should be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent and allowed to air dry. Machine wash only on the 'Hand wash' setting and air dry. This garment can be steam ironed, folded, and enjoyed by our cherished AURA MAYA customers once it has dried.
