Aq’ab’al is the Mayan Spirit of the sunrise and it represents the beginning of the day. This beautifully handcrafted handbag is from the Mayan lands of Guatemala and it carries the name of Aq'ab'al to represent the dawn, that time between darkness and light.  This one-of-a-kind design, brought to you from the shores of Lake Atitlan, combines colorfully extravagant huipil embroidered with genuine leather and handwoven textiles made with 100 % natural cotton threads on a backstrap loom we inherited from our ancestors.

We are honored to continue our indigenous Mayan community's craft traditions.

Our leather goods should be kept dry and away from intense heat. To keep the leather supple, dust it with a gentle brush or cloth and use a special leather conditioner. The colorful textiles that have been included can be gently cleaned with a wet cloth.
